Filmed at NYU MAGNET for CC Fest NYC in June 2019. In this talk Maya shares how she combines movement and code. And she asks us what moves us. Maya is a Brooklyn based artist and technologist. Her work explores the body and its relationship to the screen. She spends most of her time creating weird web things, dancing in studios and public spaces, and maintaining her love/hate relationship with the internet (mostly love though). Currently, she's building experiments at the Google Creative Lab.

Filmed at ITP-NYU for CC Fest NYC in November 2018. In this talk Nicole shares some of her creative projects and why she thinks being a beginner is good. Nicole He, http://nicole.pizza, is a programmer and artist based in Brooklyn, New York.

Filmed at San Francisco Friends School in October 2018 for CC Fest SF. Lark Alder aka VCR works in video, installation, interactive media, critical design, and performance. VCR stands for Virtually Conflicted Reality. A common thread in their work is multiplicity of meaning and experience in an increasingly digitized world — many projects explore the personal, political, and social implications of the dissolving boundary between body and machine. Using humor within a critical queer framework, Lark tackles subject matter as diverse as biosurveillance, data privacy, oceanic myth, sexual violence culture, virtual healing and human-computer desire.
